Background
Mr. Gala is a Claims Analyst with extensive experience in the investigation and resolution of Surety bond claims. Prior to joining CSF, Mr. Gala was employed by a prominent New York City-based Surety as a member of the Surety Claims Department. Mr. Gala was primarily involved in the analysis and resolution of complex and/or large-scale Performance Bond claims.
Recent Project Experience
Working for a Surety, conducted coverage investigations and the resolutions of Surety bond claims. Responsible for supervising the completion of projects of defaulted contractors utilizing completion agreements, takeover agreements and ratification agreements. Comprehensive investigative knowledge in determining liability of the surety with respect to critical issues. Evaluated litigation action plans to effectively monitor litigation and manage counsel.
Evaluated and prepared construction claims and counterclaims as an associate for a construction management company. Prepared and assisted in the formulation and presentation of delay damages, schedule evaluations, productivity reviews, escalation assessments, equitable contract adjustments and other critical project analyses including the on-site assessment and review of project correspondence.
Acted as Assistant Project Manager responsible for coordinating tenant changes and flow of information between various parties on major high-rise construction projects as liaison amongst the developer and the marketing staff, contractors and designers. Formulated bid packages and bidders' lists and evaluated takeoffs and pricing for various building components.
